Amy Tonti has over 20 years of experience working with children who have unique learning needs. She worked in general education and non-public, special education, school settings, as well as within the home environment. Before joining the Special Kids Company, Amy was employed at Kennedy Krieger School and then Trellis School. Amy has serviced students who have been identified with developmental delays, Autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, attention deficit disorder, emotional disorders, and specific learning disabilities. She specializes in curriculum and IEP development for students of all ages with Autism and behavioral challenges. Amy’s strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior methodologies allows for a unique and specialized approach to creating appropriate supports and accommodations individualized for each learner. Amy emphasizes the importance of facilitating learner success within their learning environment by promoting transdisciplinary collaboration between all-academic team members. Amy is skilled in creating data tracking systems, analyzing data, and implementing evidence-based interventions for a wide variety of learning profiles. She has provided consultative services to teachers and school systems throughout Maryland and works hand in hand with families to ensure a positive school experience for each child. Amy is located in Harford County, MD with her husband and two kids.
