Lauren Richardson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 10 years of experience working in the fields of Applied Behavior Analysis, Early Intervention, Autism, and Special Education. She has worked in a variety of public and private settings supporting individuals with a wide range of disabilities, with specific expertise in the area of Autism.
Using the science of ABA, Lauren provides consultation to families and related professionals to support skill acquisition, relationship building, and behavior reduction to produce socially meaningful outcomes. She demonstrates strong skills in the area of collecting and analyzing data to identify appropriate behavioral programming across settings. She is very knowledgeable in the area of Early Intervention, Functional Communication, Effective Teaching Strategies, and Antecedent and Consequence based interventions to reduce problem behavior. Lauren provides behavior analytic services with a strong emphasis on collaboration and values-driven behavior.
Using structured programs such as Balance: A Home-Based Program Addressing Emerging Problem Behavior, Lauren and parents will meet 2 times per week through the 10-step program to teach the child and parent relationship development, communication, toleration of denials, and cooperation.
Lauren offers behavioral consulting within homes and private preschools as well as direct services, as needed, to reduce problem behaviors or target specific skills such as communication needs, toileting, feeding, and sleeping routines, as well as improve coping strategies. Lauren is located in Harford Co. MD with her husband and two children.
